Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA)

The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) is the only UK-wide voluntary organisation specifically helping those with, and affected by, cleft lip and palate.

The orgaisation provides support from infancy through to childhood and is a useful support for new parents, people with the condition and their families.

All branches are managed by people who have the condition and have benefited from the organisation. CLAPA often works in partnership with local health professionals and often looking for enthusiastic, passionate, dedicated volunteers who are willing to give their time to assist CLAPA to carry out local activities and support their work.

Volunteers can get involved in a lot of different areas depending on their skills and interests including: public speaking, research, organising activities, taking part in our annual children’s camp(s), awareness raising and the media.
You will receive a regular newsletter and training opportunities.
It is a great feeling knowing that you are doing something for others and you will also have the opportunity to learn new skills!
