Independent Age provides advice and support for people in older age, including those with dementia. This national charity acts as a voice for older people and was founded 150 years ago.
Independent Age works on behalf of older people, their families and carers to get the best care, support and wellbeing. They provide:
- advice on home help, moving into a care home, care assessments and what to expect when being discharged from hospital
- befriending service
- support to get a fair deal for older people
- volunteering opportunities
