Redbridge Carers Support Service (RCSS) Voluntary Organisation
Redbridge Carers Support Service (RCSS) was set up by a handful of local carers in 1994 to support and help carers in the borough and give them the recognition they deserve. RCSS is a Strategic Partner to Redbridge Council and was set up by carers for carers.
Services include:
- Advice Surgery & Community Support -RCSS’s team provide advice and information on carers rights, welfare benefits and accessing support services. They also also make referrals
- Support for dementia carers - RCSS offer 1-1 and group support for dementia carers. They offer specialist advice, information, referrals, peer support and activities
- Older Carers Connect Programme - carers aged 65 and over are supported through therapies, befriending calls with volunteers, coffee mornings and fitness and mobility classes
- Working for Carers Programme - led by Carers Trust, unpaid carers aged 25 and over are supported, so that they can move closer to employment
- Young Adult Carers. RCSS offer general advice and individual support to young adult cares aged 16-30
