Reporting Benefit Fraud
Benefit fraud is committed when a claimant is dishonest in order to receive benefits or knowingly fails to report a change in their circumstances.
Benefit fraud is unfair but it can be prevented. If you think someone is committing benefit fraud, you can report them anonymously to the Department for Work and Pensions.
You can report a benefit cheat online or by contacting the National Benefit Fraud Hotline on 0800 854 440 (calls are free and confidential).
