Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association
SSAFA exists to relieve need, suffering and distress amongst the Armed Forces, veterans and their families in order to support their independence and dignity. SSAFA provides welfare support, by visiting the Armed Forces community to see how they can help.
They also run Forcesline (number provided below) and webchat for anyone in the Armed Forces and their families. It's the first port of call for many people, whether they are still serving, transitioning to civilian life or a veteran who left several years ago.
SSAFA also works in partnership with other military charities and specialist organisations to ensure that those who turn to us for help get the support they need.
