Supporting Together those with Autism and Asperger's in Redbridge (STAAR)
This voluntary organisation specialises in supporting anyone who is affected by Autism or Asperger's Syndrome and who lives or works in Redbridge.
Set up by a group of multicultural families and friends, this friendly group exists to provide useful information and practical support to people who care for children or adults with Autism or Asperger's Syndrome.
Services include:
- Coffee mornings
- Designstars - short courses giving young people the opportunity to learn game design
- STAAR markets - an opportunity for STAAR members to gain volunteering experience
- Out and about - Yyung people help to organise and attend monthly outings
- Gamestaars Club - young people have access to the most popular consoles, video games and board games
