Their goal is to provide the most appropriate care and support to people who need it, to enable them to live their lives to the fullest. They work in a number of local areas — providing our services to more than 11,000 people across the UK.
In recognition that each person and family may be facing their own struggle, They'll work with them to find out exactly what will make their lives better — then get on with providing a package of personalised care and support that meets their unique needs.
Their focus covers two main areas:
- Supporting people needing care.
They can provide care for adults and children with various disabilities and health conditions. It may be at home, or we may operate local day centres that also enable people needing care to meet new people in their community. - Supporting carers.
If you look after a relative or friend who is ill, frail or disabled, you may find it difficult to have control over your own life too. They can help by providing respite care that enables you to have a break, or helping you find the most appropriate information, advice and support for your circumstances.
