Disability Awareness Festival

This year’s annual disability awareness festival is taking place in Redbridge on Wednesday 9 August from 12pm to 7pm at Christchurch Green, Wanstead.
This is the only fully accessible festival in the borough, which promotes the talents and abilities of people, challenging stigma and raising awareness of the support available to those with disabilities, to help them live full and independent lives.
The festival has grown over the years from a small event for people with learning disabilities to a high profile festival, in the heart of the community, attended by thousands of people and accessible to everyone, no matter what their ability is.
If you’ve never been to the festival before, you are missing out! We have workshops, market stalls, accessible sports, arts and crafts as well as a main stage filled with talented singers and dancers and this year we have our very own fashion show.
