If you are being targeted because of prejudice or hate due to race, religious belief, sexuality, gender, disability or age then it is called hate crime.

Reporting a hate crime
If you are a victim of, or have witnessed, a hate crime or incident, you can report it to one of several organisations by:
- Calling the non-emergency number 101
- Visiting your local police station
- Online at the report it website. You don't have to give your name
- In an emergency, call the police on 999
