Norwood

Norwood is the UK’s largest Jewish charity supporting people with learning disabilities and children and families in need. They believe that regardless of disadvantage or disability, everyone should receive the support they need to reach their potential and enjoy life to the full.

The services at Norwood are tailored according to individual needs and cover the following areas:

  • in-betweeners - recreational transition group for young people/adults with disabilities (aged 16 to 25 years)
  • links - recreational group for adults with disabilities (18+years)
  • parent and toddler sessions for Jewish families with children (aged 4 and under)
  • counselling for students of Jewish secondary and primary schools
  • volunteering opportunities
  • housing - help for people to live in their own home
  • supported employment service designed to provide training and work experience and help individuals decide what work they would like to do

Naz Project London

Naz Project London (NPL) provides sexual health and HIV prevention advice and support services for everyone and provides specific support to Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities in London.

NPL aims to educate and empower communities to face up to the challenges of sexual health and to prevent the spread of infection and lack awareness of HIV and AIDS. They offer instant HIV testing and provide training services to voluntary, community and statutory organisations, as well as a wide range of free resources.

Newlon Housing Trust owns or manages around 8,350 affordable homes, primarily in nine boroughs in north and east London, with many more in development. These homes are made up of a mix of affordable tenures and they provide housing for people nominated from local authority waiting lists, specialised accommodation for Key Workers and Shared Ownership homes to help people take their first step on the property ladder. Outlook Care

Outlook Care work in partnership with people with a learning disability, those with mental health needs and older people.

The organisation has dedicated learning disabilities and mental health supported living teams who enable people who have lived in residential care for many years to move on to a supported living environment, and also provide a range of residential and domiciliary services. Outlook Care run a number of services in the Redbridge area.
