Online food shopping
Most of the big supermarkets have online shopping, so that your food and groceries can be delivered to your home. You could choose ready meals including frozen meals that only need heating up in a microwave or oven.
For advice on shopping and paying safely online, see the Money Advice Service.
The following are some examples of supermarkets who offer home deliveries:
Frozen meals
There are several companies that can deliver healthy, affordable ready-made meals and desserts (usually frozen) to your home.
They can cater for different dietary needs including diabetes, low fat, gluten free, vegetarian and allergen-free food.
To get a free delivery, most companies will want you to order at least one week’s supply of meals and to spend over a certain amount. You can order food online, request a brochure or call the companies for more information.
