Support and help for adults

SeeAbility work with people who are visually impaired and have multiple disabilities to help them realise their potential in life and to make choices which will help to enhance their quality of life.

SeeAbility provide the following services:

• raising awareness of the prevalence of sight problems amongst people with learning disabilities
• raising awareness of the high level of under-detection of sight problems amongst people who have learning disabilities
• helping improve and increase access to regular, accessible and effective eye care for adults with learning disabilities
• enhancing the quality of life for people with learning disabilities when a sight problem has been identified
• helping, advising and supporting carers, social care and health professionals, and eye care professionals to provide improved services for people with learning disabilities

Sense are a leading national charity which supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. Services include day centres, help acquiring new skills and advice and guidance around deafblind issues.

Ilford Salvation Army is a Christian Church and Community who come together to demonstrate a glimpse of God's kingdom in Ilford through loving God and loving others. They offer services around a large variety of issues, including homelessness and budget and debt advice.

Shared Care Ltd Walthamstow is a specialist home care service provider. It aims to provide skilled and experienced care staff for children and young adults with disabilities to help them to lead a fulfilling life in the community.  

In total, their staff speak 19 different languages other than English, including Urdu, Hindi, Somali, Yoruba, Arabic, Bengali/Syleti, Punjabi and Gujarati.
